Behind Ag Ungated:
About
In Indiana, it is apparent that many BIPOC farmers are diligently working, but their efforts often go unnoticed beyond their immediate communities due to reliance on word-of-mouth promotion. Some farmers aspire for broader recognition and opportunities. Agriculture Ungated aims to meet this need by providing a platform where Black farmers can share their stories, connect with the public, and access valuable resources.
Leveraging my expertise in federal grants, I also offer consultation services to farms and organizations, helping them navigate the complex world of grant opportunities and secure the funding they deserve. Many farmers and organizations don't know what they don't know, and I'm here to bridge that gap, helping them get noticed by grantors and expand their impact.

Mission
Agriculture Ungated is a safe space for Black farmers to obtain vital information such as grant help, USDA assistance, and guidance on starting or upscaling farms to suit their needs. It serves as an outlet and spotlight for Black farmers and food-related organizations to share their stories and initiatives with the public. The platform also helps communities find local producers who reflect their cultural background and prioritize their nutritional needs.
Vision
Imagine a thriving network of Black farmers and food-related organizations who are empowered, recognized, and connected with their communities. Where Black farmers have equitable access to resources and opportunities, and communities can support local producers who prioritize their health and cultural values.
